Dejavu all over again at Butler Creek.

On this site almost 27 years earlier I shot the ancestor to this train on this same site. [link] The engines are newer, and the bridge has been replaced over the years, but the feel is still there.

Beautiful shot. I love the 3/4 frontal view from the low vantage point. Really shows off the size and gives the impression of power.

It's amazing how different the feel is of the two shots. The first shot looked like an undercapitalized regional, and this shot looks like a class I. Go figure. KCS still seems more like a regional than a Class I in many respects.
